Redact 2

Open a scanned page or PDF and work in three steps: fix the page, mark what must always stay visible, then black out the rest. Keep areas are never covered, even by a redaction drawn over them. The saved file is a flat image or PDF: the redacted pixels are gone, not covered.

Steps

• 1 Page: straighten a crooked scan, crop to the part you need, rotate.
• 2 Keep: draw green areas over what must always show, such as a header, a date or a signature line.
• 3 Redact: draw black areas over the rest, or press Cover whole page and let only the green areas show through.

One document, one file per person

• Type the IDs in the IDs box, one per line, for example account or record numbers. Add a name after a comma if you want it in the file name as {label}.
• Draw one rectangle (or 4-point shape, for a crooked scan) over the whole list, then Split it into one row per entry. Each row is tagged with the next ID.
• Put {id} in a file name part. Pick an ID: its row is lifted, the others are black, the file name updates. Save. Next ID. Or Save all as a zip.
